Ragan's PR Daily has taken me on as a contributing editor. That means, every day, rain or shine, I get to scour the Web for interesting stories, trends, and funny stories that might amuse my fellow PR Professionals. I love to read all the most popular sites like Mashable, but I'd also like to find sources off the beaten path.
Many of my sources come to me from my Twitter and RSS feeds, but upon further examination of my reading habits, I am vowing to expand my sources to include less-read blogs, and want to include some voices from the Silicon Prairie, otherwise known as the Midwest!
So if you have a blog or a website that covers marketing, social media or public relations topics, please drop me an email at claire.celsi@gmail.com or direct message me on Twitter with a link to your post. I have a constant need for new and fresh ideas and information. Our colleagues around the country would welcome an opportunity to hear new voices contributing to the daily dialogue. As an added bonus, the site sends a ton of web traffic to featured articles.
Here are some tips for posts and Web articles that will pique my interest:
- Original posts by the author of a blog or website
- A post that talks about a current event or hot topic in PR
- A controversial topic
- Something unique
- Funny stuff
- Something that has national appeal -- Too many local references within a post will eliminate mass appeal

Hi Claire!
Thank you so much for your post! You hands-down have one of the coolest jobs I can think of. Being able to everyday search the web for interesting information that you then pass along for the enjoyment of others. I am apart of a PR class at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida and our class has been assigned to keep a blog for the semester. We blog about anything and everything that deals with public relations. As a communications enthusiast and admirer, I would be more than honored if you stopped by my blog. http://rmlaflam.wordpress.com/
Thank you,
Rachel
PS. Constructive criticism is welcomed with open arms :)
